The Server is an integral part of our food and beverage team, responsible for delivering unreasonable hospitality to members and guests in our restaurants. Member and guest satisfaction is our top priority, and the Server plays a central role in bringing that standard to life every shift. Key Responsibilities: Member & Guest ExperienceGreet members and guests warmly and promptly upon seating, creating a welcoming and personalized dining experience from the first moment.Build genuine relationships with members by learning their preferences, favorite dishes, and regular orders to deliver a personalized experience on every visit.Present menus and inform members and guests of daily specials, featured items, and seasonal offerings in an engaging and knowledgeable manner.Make thoughtful recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverage items, including preparation methods, ingredients, and pairings.Keep members informed of upcoming club events, dining promotions, and special programming to enhance their overall club engagement.Advise the manager on duty of any member or guest concern as soon as it occurs, ensuring a swift and appropriate resolution.Treat every shift as an opportunity to exceed member expectations and strengthen the club community.Order Taking & Service ExecutionTake food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, repeating orders back to confirm correctness before submitting.Enter all orders accurately and promptly into the POS system in accordance with club procedures.Communicate special dietary needs, allergies, and modifications clearly to the culinary team to ensure safe and accurate preparation.Deliver food and beverages to the correct guests in a timely manner, following proper service etiquette and presentation standards.Perform regular table check-ins throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction, refill beverages, and anticipate additional needs.Coordinate with bussers, food runners, and fellow servers to ensure a seamless and efficient dining experience for all guests.Responsible Alcohol ServiceServe alcoholic beverages in full compliance with all applicable state and local laws and club policies at all times.Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service, communicating any concerns to the manager on duty promptly.Verify guest age in accordance with club policy and applicable law prior to serving alcoholic beverages.Maintain current alcohol service certification as required by the club.Cash Handling & POS OperationsHandle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with club procedures.Process member charges and guest payments with accuracy, confirming totals and membership accounts, obtaining appropriate signatures as required.Maintain accountability for all transactions and report any discrepancies to the manager on duty promptly.Complete end-of-shift checkout accurately and submit all required documentation in accordance with club procedures.Dining Room Maintenance & SetupMaintain a clean, organized, and properly set dining room throughout each shift, resetting tables promptly following each seating.Ensure all tables are properly set with clean linens, glassware, silverware, and condiments prior to the start of each service period.Assist with opening and closing sidework including restocking service stations, folding napkins, polishing glassware, and completing assigned cleaning tasks.Communicate any maintenance concerns, supply shortages, or cleanliness issues to the manager on duty in a timely manner.Standards & General ResponsibilitiesBe knowledgeable of and comply, at all times, with the club's standards, policies, and regulations.Maintain regular attendance in compliance with the club's scheduling requirements, which will vary based on business needs.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag while on duty.Consistently follow all sanitation-related requirements, including those related to personal hygiene and food handling.Report any safety concerns, accidents, or maintenance issues to the manager on duty immediately.Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Food & Beverage Director or manager on duty. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Warm, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for hospitality and building lasting member relationships.Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tables and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, menu items, and basic wine and cocktail pairings is a plus.Proficiency with POS systems preferred; willingness to learn required.Ability to remain composed, professional, and solutions-oriented under pressure.High internal standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service. Supervisory Responsibilities: This is not a supervisory position. The Server reports to the Food & Beverage Director and the manager on duty. Working Conditions: Work is performed indoors in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The position requires the ability to stand and move quickly for extended periods, carry trays and plates, and safely lift and carry items up to 20 pounds. Exposure to varying noise levels during service periods is expected. Schedule varies and includes day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as business dictates. Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older.Previous server or food and beverage experience preferred but not required.Flexible schedule; must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.Must be able to safely lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a high-volume environment. Compensation: Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
