If you’re motivated, mechanically inclined, and ready to grow, PDS Tech Commercial wants you on our team as a Pipe Fabrication Machine Operator.

As a Pipe Fabrication Machine Operator, you’ll work with industry‑standard machinery, tackle real production challenges, and see the results of your work every single day.

Location: Pheonix, AZ

Pay: $20/hour

Shift: 1st - 5AM to 1:30PM, Monday - Friday (OT as needed on Saturdays)

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 6–8 months recent experience operating machinery such as band saws, automatic welding machines, pipe threaders, roll groove machines, plasma cutting tools, or pneumatic banders.

  • Ability to read, understand, and accurately use tape measures.

  • Experience using gauges for quality checks.

  • 6–8 months mechanical background in an industrial, automotive, or equipment-focused role.

  • 3-6 months experience using sit-down forklift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Move loose or bundled pipe ranging from ½” to 10”, throughout the shop and yard.

  • Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintain organized work supplies.

  • Follow all safety guidelines for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe.

  • Operate powered industrial equipment safely following OSHA and company procedures.

  • Set up, operate, and maintain machinery used for pipe fabrication.

  • Measure, record, and calculate random pipe lengths accurately.

  • Cut pipe using band saws or torches.

  • Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines.

  • Inspect and perform basic maintenance on forklift equipment.

Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Solid math skills for calculating quantities and measurements.

  • Knowledge of safe work practices in a pipe yard or industrial environment.

  • Experience with machinery used for pipe cutting and threading (training can be provided).

  • Proven ability to stay results‑focused in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Ability to sort and shift pipe ranging from ½” to 10”.

  • Good computer skills for operating automated machinery.

  • Preferred: 6–8 months of experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
