We are currently partnering with a well-established steel company that is looking to hire a Beveling Machine Operator in the Lakeland, FL area. In this role, you will assist with setting up and operating various machines, handling parts, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute to the team’s success in meeting production goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Clean metal surfaces using wire brushes and scrapers to remove contaminants such as rust, oil, and debris
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine required bevel specifications
  • Measure materials and verify proper angles with accuracy
  • Operate a track torch to perform beveling on steel materials ranging from 3/8" to 1" in thickness
  • Inspect finished products using calipers and bevel gauges to ensure specifications and quality standards are met
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Utilizes a TEKLA software
  • Perform weekly, monthly and annual routine maintenance on machinery
  • Achieves weekly goals for production
  • Reports daily to Machine Lead for consumables and tools needed
    Who We’re Looking For
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Prior experience operating beveling machine
    • Willingness to learn and become proficient in operating a variety of machines
    • Proficient in Apple IOS and Android OS platforms
    • Proficient in TEKLA EPM GO, preferred
    • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
    • Ability to lift or carry up to 50lbs
    • Positive attitude and energetic
