Job description

At Valet Living, we’re looking for part-time Apartment Trash Collectors (Service Valets) who aren’t afraid of a little hard work. This role requires grit, reliability, and a willingness to take on a tough but rewarding challenge. You’ll be working outdoors, rain or shine, hot or cold, collecting trash and recycling from residents’ doorsteps and hauling it to the on-site dumpsters or compactors using your pickup truck or vehicle with a trailer.

This isn’t a job for everyone, but if you're someone who enjoys physical work, likes staying active, and wants to make a real impact in the community, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Get:

· Pay: $16.50 —$19.50 per hour

· Schedule: Evening shifts, typically Sunday through Thursday, starting at 7:00 or 8:00 PM

· Part-Time: 10–15+ hours per week

· Close-to-Home Assignments: We do our best to assign you to a property near where you live

What You’ll Do:

· Collect Trash and Recycling: Walk around the apartment property and collect trash and recycling bags from residents’ doorsteps. No shortcuts here, you’ll be on your feet, moving the entire shift.

· Use Your Truck or Trailer: Haul the collected trash to the on-site dumpster or compactor using your open-bed pickup truck or vehicle with a trailer.

· Log Your Work: Use our mobile app to log your work, including when you arrive, leave, and report any issues.

· Work Outdoors: Heat, cold, rain - you’ll be out there getting the job done.

What We’re Looking For:

· Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.

· Reliable Transportation: An open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer.

· Valid Documentation: A current driver’s license and auto insurance listing you as a covered driver.

· Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Proof of work authorization is required upon hire.

· Technology Requirements: Must own a smartphone with a data plan to use our mobile app.

Physical & Mental Toughness Required:

· Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

· Walk long distances and climb stairs repeatedly

· Comfortable working around odors and waste

· Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
