Job description

All hired employees are expected to have experience with Microsoft Copilot and / or an approved equivalent AI solution. Description The Appian Developer will design, develop, and deploy low-code applications on the Appian platform for the Army acquisition community. The developer will support legacy modernization efforts, and will integrate enterprise systems through web services, APIs, and data migration. This role will work closely with architects and stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing workflow and case management solutions. The position will emphasize DevOps best practices, technical documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous optimization of Appian applications. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field Comp Tia Sec+ Appian Developer Certification 2+ years of hands-on experience in Appian application development Expertise in Appian components (SAIL, Data Fabric, Process Models). Experience working on enterprise-level projects and delivering scalable solutions Clearance Required Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications Experience with the Army or similar DoD/DoW preferred; Acquisition a plus Key Responsibilities Application Development: Proficient in Appian platform, including design, development, and deployment of Appian applications Legacy Modernization: Re-platform applications from older technologies Integration: Integrate Appian with other systems and databases, handling data migration Agile & DevOps: Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines, promoting DevOps best practices. Design & Architecture: Collaborate with Lead Architects on design and technical documentation Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
