Casual Nurse Aide
Long Term Care Administration
BHB ensures the highest in quality health care through service excellence, education and leadership. We seek qualified, highly motivated, and experienced professionals to work in a supportive but demanding environment.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Supports the policies and procedures of the Bermuda Hospitals Board (B.H.B.) and maintains the standards of nursing practices.
  • Attends to and assist with activities of daily living i.e. feeding, bathing, grooming, toileting, and mobilizing (except operating and recovery rooms).
  • Assist with the providing comfort measures and ensure patient safety.
  • Observes and reports patients' symptoms, reactions and progress to nurse in charge in a timely manner and accurately records patients' vital signs.
  • Administers enemas/suppositories, collects specimens, including urine for testing.
  • Provides and assists patients with bed pans and urinals.
  • Makes open, closed, and occupied beds.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, care of the deceased and transportation of the bodies to the morgue.
Qualifications &/ Registration required:
  • High school Graduate or equivalent.
  • Certificate of completion for the Nursing Assistant Course at Bermuda College or equivalent program is required and/or Geriatric Aid Certification.
  • Current registration required by the Bermuda Nursing Council.
  • Must be capable of safely lifting with approved device.
  • Current CPR certification.

Salary scale: BI44 $32.4568 per hour
Schedule: On an as needed basis
