Probate Litigation Paralegal

About the Role

Berk Law Group, P.C. is seeking an experienced Probate Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in a busy Scottsdale law firm focused on probate, trust, estate, and inheritance litigation.

This role is ideal for a litigation paralegal who enjoys meaningful case work, direct attorney support, client communication, document preparation, discovery, trial preparation, and keeping matters organized from intake through resolution.

You will work closely with attorneys on matters involving guardianships, conservatorships, estate and trust disputes, elder abuse, neglect and exploitation, powers of attorney, burial and disposition issues, and related controversies. The right candidate will bring strong Arizona civil litigation experience, excellent follow-through, and the ability to support clients during sensitive and often emotional legal matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys with probate, trust, estate, guardianship, conservatorship, vulnerable adult, and inheritance litigation matters
  • Organize and maintain case files, calendars, tasks, deadlines, hearing notices, proof of service, orders, and related documents
  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and file petitions, complaints, motions, discovery, disclosure statements, correspondence, and trial materials
  • Assist with discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and related documents
  • Conduct factual research involving real property records, corporate entities, backgrounds, and other case-related information
  • Assist with legal research involving statutes, case law, rules, and regulations to support case strategy
  • Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, witnesses, vendors, and other parties with professionalism and discretion
  • Assist with trial preparation, including evidence organization, exhibit preparation, witness coordination, and hearing or trial binders
  • Support scheduling, billing, case management, and other administrative tasks that keep the litigation practice running smoothly

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Arizona legal assistant or paralegal experience with civil litigation experience required
  • Experience in probate, trust, estate, guardianship, conservatorship, vulnerable adult, or fiduciary litigation preferred
  • Associate degree required
  • Paralegal degree or certificate preferred
  • Strong knowledge of litigation deadlines, court procedures, discovery, document preparation, and case organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Clio Manage experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, research ability, and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional, collaborative, and client-focused environment
