As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our fast-paced, dynamic team and uphold our rigorous manufacturing standards.

**Job Summary

**

As a Quality Control Technician at Apex Laser Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring that every part leaving our facility meets exact customer specifications and the highest industry standards. You will be responsible for first-article, in-process, and final inspections, managing material traceability, and ensuring our shipping processes protect the integrity of our finished products.

**Key Responsibilities

**

  • Precision Inspection:Inspect complex parts relative to engineering blueprints to ensure 100% compliance with dimensions and tolerances.
  • In-Process Quality Control:Actively monitor parts during production runs to catch deviations early, minimize waste, and maintain peak quality throughout manufacturing.
  • Documentation & Reporting:Accurately complete detailed inspection reports, First Article Inspections (FAI), and non-conformance reports (NCR) when necessary.
  • Inventory & Certification Tracking:Manage raw material inventory and meticulously track material certifications (Mill Test Reports/MTRs) to ensure full traceability.
  • Secure Packaging & Shipping:Assist in properly packing, wrapping, and securing finished parts to guarantee they are transported safely and arrive undamaged.
  • **Material Handling & Receiving: **Safely operate a forklift to load/unload heavy shipments and inspect inbound materials to ensure quality and specification accuracy.

**Qualifications & Requirements

**

  • Experience:Minimum of 3years of quality control experience in a precision manufacturing or machine shop environment (laser cutting experience is a strong plus).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Compliance:Solid understanding of ISO 9001quality management systems and ITARcompliance regulations.
  • Physical Demands:Ability to lift heavy items and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Certifications:Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to be certified upon hire).
