Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal (Experienced)
Moss Berg Injury Law - Personal Injury Law Firm-Las Vegas, NV
Our growing personal injury law firm is seeking a full-time experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing a high-volume caseload from pre-suit through trial.
This position would be responsible for working with attorneys during all phases of the litigation process and handling all aspects of litigation for arbitration and exempt cases, to include the deposition and discovery period through trial and post-trial proceedings and appeals. The person holding this position is expected to deliver exceptional customer service and effective communication both verbally and in writing with clients, adjusters, experts, defense counsel, etc., in a professional and courteous manner.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage plaintiff-side litigation files from filing through resolution.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, correspondence, exhibits; properly formatting, and proofing legal documents.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery, including medical records, bills and damages support.
  • Assist with trial preparation including exhibit lists, trial binders, subpoenas, and witness coordination.
  • Track and calendar all litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions and court dates
  • Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Maintain organized electronic case files and ensure accuracy in the case management system.
  • Work closely with attorneys to move cases efficiently toward resolution or trial.

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Three (3) or more years' litigation experience; preferably plaintiff-side.
  • Self-sufficient with a strong understanding of Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure, civil litigation procedures and plaintiff workflows.
  • Experience with medical records, billing, liens and damages documentation.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong research, writing and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to efficiently manage deadlines and consistently follow up with clients.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision and without constant direction in a high-volume environment.
  • Possess a high level of professionalism and confidentiality; detail-oriented and team-focused.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, i.e., Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficiency with a case management system is strongly preferred.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education and License/Certification:
  • Paralegal Certification, Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies, and/or equivalent experience in the legal field.
  • Certified Notary Public (Preferred)
