Job description

DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is hiring a full-time Referral Coordinator to join our Client Experience Team. If you are detail-oriented and have a genuine love of and respect for all animals, we would love to hear from you!

About This Position:

As a Referral Coordinator you will act as a liaison between pet owners, referring veterinarians (rDVMs), and DoveLewis' Specialty departments. You will be tasked with coordinating appointments, managing medical record communications, and supporting a seamless client experience from check-in to discharge. Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an eye for detail and organization and, above all, a genuine love of animals and an appreciation for the human-animal bond.

Wage Range: 22-24 hourly depending on experience, education, and certification.

Schedule: This position is anticipated to be Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. As you will be working in conjunction with our Specialty departments, the hours will closely align with standard daytime business hours.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced administrative, receptionist, or client service role
  • At least 6 months of experience in an emergency or specialty veterinary setting
  • Prior experience using veterinary practice management software required
  • Veterinary assistant experience is a plus
  • Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute for the above.
