Job description

Position Mission:
Global Industrial - Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of comprehensive benefit programs, including researching industry and market best practices. Will oversee existing plans and programs as well as monitor performance of providers and third-party relationships. Ensures all plans and programs support the organization's strategic objectives, are competitive, cost effective and consistently administered in compliance with company policies, internal controls and government regulations.
Responsibilities:
  • Leads delivery and execution of high-quality comprehensive benefit plans and programs
  • Responsible for request for proposal and audit projects, including evaluation, service and cost negotiation and selection process in conjunction with external consultants
  • Leads benefits annual enrollment process including implementation of new benefit plans and program or changes with vendors
  • Provides guidance for escalated compliance and administration questions from the Employee Service Center management team
  • Responsible for ensuring that benefit plans comply with federal, state, local and provincial laws and regulations, and that processes and controls are in place to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Possesses a strong understanding of industry trends and market practice to assess competitiveness of benefit plans and programs
  • Educate HR community on benefit initiatives by developing and leading informational webinars
  • Lead the development of employee communications related to benefit plans including print and electronic media

Experience, Education, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, required
  • A minimum of 10 years broad based and progressive experience designing and managing benefits, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership role.
  • Demonstrated track record of innovating and evolving benefit plan design and administration based on the need of the Company and to attract and retain talent.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to develop and manage productive vendor relationships
  • Experience with due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, ERISA regulations and other regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in PC-based applications, including Workday and Microsoft Office programs required
  • Work performed in a typical office environment with some work from home flexibility
  • No travel anticipated

  • Must be able to work in a corporate office setting.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
