Job Requirements

Collaborates with organizational leadership to advance the effective use of finance performance analytics, including productivity, benchmarking, cost accounting, and related analytical tools. Partners with operational leaders to drive key strategic and organizational priorities, including labor management, financial and operational performance, and System-wide performance improvement initiatives. Serves as the subject matter expert in the operational application of financial performance analytics, enabling data-driven decision-making and measurable performance improvement.

  • Build and maintain strong consultative partnerships with System and Member Organization leadership to advance the effective use of performance analytics and deliver value-added, customer-focused outcomes.
  • Serve as the System subject matter expert in performance analytics, including productivity, benchmarking, utilization, and Profit & Loss data, to support strategic modeling and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and financial leaders to support System-wide priorities such as labor management, service line development, and operational and financial performance improvement.
  • Analyze performance analytics data to identify variation, gaps, and improvement opportunities; collaborate with operational and clinical owners to drive measurable improvements in utilization, efficiency, quality, and financial outcomes.
  • Lead and support the integration of operational, clinical, quality, and benchmarking data (including Vizient and internal data sources) to enable comprehensive performance analysis and insight generation.
  • Influence processes, behaviors, and outcomes by applying benchmarking, best practices, and change management principles to support System-wide performance improvement initiatives.
  • Promote standard workflows, enterprise analytics tools, and business process redesign to improve consistency, optimize end-user experience, and achieve sustained performance improvement.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor analytics initiatives aligned with leadership priorities; develop and present clear, accurate, and actionable analyses, reports, and recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver System-wide education, training, and advisory support to enhance leadership and end-user understanding and effective use of performance analytics tools and data.
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and integrity of analytical work, provide peer review and feedback, and maintain collaborative relationships to share expertise and support continuous improvement.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Work Experience

Education & Experience - Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience in analytics, performance improvement, healthcare operations, finance, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience providing performance analytics, education, training, and consultative guidance to leaders to support data-driven decision-making and performance improvement.

Education & Experience - Preferred

  • Master's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Clinical or operational experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., nursing, clinical operations, service line management).
  • Experience working in a healthcare system or similarly complex, data-driven industry.
  • Experience supporting System-wide or enterprise-level performance improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior clinical, operational, or financial leaders.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proficiency in preparing and analyzing data and implementing changes to contain costs for fiduciary needs of the organization.
  • Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present findings, conclusions, and alternatives.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of enterprise resource planning systems used in healthcare and corporate organizations.
  • Proficient leadership skills, including situational awareness, conflict resolution, establishing alignment and clear direction, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead teams effectively, prioritizing requests, workload and establishing a goal-oriented work environment with clear and concise work procedures and productivity metrics.
