What you will have an opportunity to do:
The Guest Service Tech will complete general maintenance requests that are submitted by guests and employees. Responsibilities also include performing various work order tasks and preventative maintenance on spaces and equipment.
  • Status: Full Time
  • Availability: 1st & 2nd shift
  • Anticipated start date: March 1, 2026
  • Payrate: $19.85 per hour.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Completes maintenance requests submitted by guests or employees for general maintenance issues within the hotel. Most common maintenance requests include toilet issues, sink drains, hot water issues, touch up paint, light bulb replacement and more.
  • Interact with guests or employees to ensure maintenance request is completed successfully.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and maintains logs in an organized manner.
  • Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplished assigned work orders, and does all necessary repairs relating to their expertise.
  • Performs duty rounds by using daily checklists. Reports on and corrects noted problems.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and efficient workspace. Responsible for maintaining inventory of tools in use.
  • Work in a safe manner including proper use of PPE and following safety protocols.
  • Responsible for correct use of maintenance request system. Training provided.
  • Assist with maintenance requests for other trades, as needed.

What are we looking for?
  • One year experience in maintenance required, such as hotels, home repair, hospitals, office repair, or apartment complex repairs.
  • Skilled with using hand, power, and diagnostic tools.
  • Must have experience in the following: Minor wallpaper and vinyl repair / Repair and paint drywall, wood, metal, and other surfaces using rollers and brushes / Repair tile and grout / Refinishing woodwork requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering / Basic plumbing repairs / Basic electrical repairs
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate both written and verbally in English due to guest contact.
  • Texas Driver's License with good driving record preferred.
