Position also known as: Direct Support Professional (DSP), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Behavior Therapist, Positive Support Specialist
Job Duties:
- Supervise clients in day program setting.
- Behavior modification: assist in interaction through positive reinforcement, engagement and the use of alternative communication strategies.
- Community integration/engagement: facilitate positive interaction of clients with community members at large.
- Provide assistance during meal times including: food preparation, feeding clients (solid and tube feeding)
- Provide personal hygiene to clients including changing briefs, assisting with toileting and personal grooming.
- Provide transportation to clients daily.
