Shift: 11AM-7PM or 12PM-8PM
Location - Syracuse, NY
Van Duyn is seeking a driven and compassionate Behavioral Health Tech to join our dynamic team! This role is responsible for providing assistance and support for patients and residents with mental, behavioral, and developmental health issues by assisting with daily activities, monitoring behavior, and fostering a safe, therapeutic environment in accordance with the individual's plan of care. The Behavioral Health Tech will also be responsible for maintaining proper medical documentation and providing crisis intervention and support. This position is supervised by the Director of Therapeutic Recreation.
Behavioral Health Tech Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field (preferred, but not required)
• Current student in psychology bachelor program or related field encouraged to apply
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation, long-term care or related healthcare setting (recommended, but not required)
• Knowledge of DOH regulations and CMS guidelines (recommended, but not required)
