Middle School Science Teacher
The Oceanport Board of Education has an anticipated opening for a Middle School Science Teacher effective September 1, 2026.
Required Certifications:
  • NJ Teaching Certificate for Science or Middle School with Science Specialization in Grades 5-8
  • Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped (preferred)

Successful Candidates Must Possess the Following:
  • Strong content and curricular knowledge of the New Jersey Science Standards
  • An understanding of inquiry-based learning models
  • Promotes critical and creative thinking through an innovative approach to lesson design and implementation
  • Skilled in collecting and utilizing data to drive instructional decisions
  • Proven ability to integrate technology that enhances student learning in meaningful and productive ways
  • Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth
  • Experience working collaboratively on both departmental and cross-curricular teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • A passion for student success

Salary Range: $61,985 - $63,985
Benefits:
This position includes eligibility for health insurance, paid sick and personal days, and enrollment in the Teachers' Pension and Annuity Fund. This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.
