Available Shifts:
  • Morning Shift: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM
  • Afternoon Shift: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Candidates may apply for one or both shifts.

Position Summary
The Goddard School is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Part-Time Before & After School Teacher to supervise and engage children during our before and after care program. The ideal candidate will create a safe, positive, and nurturing environment while facilitating age-appropriate activities, supervising play, and supporting children's social and emotional development.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide active supervision of children at all times to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Welcome children into the program and assist with morning arrival routines.
  • Supervise indoor and outdoor play activities.
  • Lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and enrichment activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Serve afternoon snacks in accordance with school policies and health regulations.
  • Monitor children's behavior and encourage respectful interactions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
  • Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and school policies.
  • Communicate any concerns or incidents to school administration.
  • Assist with transitions between activities and dismissal procedures.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with children preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to actively engage with children and supervise play activities.
  • Must pass all required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and actively supervise children for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to participate in indoor and outdoor activities in various weather conditions.
