We are seeking a talented and creative Bedding Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for textile design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to create unique and marketable bedding products. This role involves conceptualizing, designing, and developing new bedding collections that align with our brand’s vision and meet our quality standards. This is a position focused on creating print designs for our Paseo Road brand. More information about Paseo Road can be found at www.paseoroad.com. This is a freelance position, but the company is open to considering a full-time role for the right candidate.

Description
  • Create cohesive and innovative designs for bedding, pillows, throws & accessories
  • Work closely and collaboratively with our sales team, creative team and sourcing team to ensure development of the best quality products that also meet the business objectives
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with our factory partners to ensure accurate product development and on-time deliveries
  • Build concept presentations for new product launches, and present to upper management
  • Lead continuous innovation in print, pattern, and solid bedding, pillows and throws. Create core bedding and pillow programs to support seasonal print & pattern styles
  • Regularly shop markets to keep abreast of trend and find opportunity. Travel to sales meetings, line reviews, and markets as needed
  • Create accurate & detailed design specs for products
  • Issue comments for product samples, strike offs, and bulk approvals
  • Maintain and organize samples and swatches
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of textile design work experience, preferably in bedding specifically
  • Expert level in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Previous experience developing product directly with factories
  • Strong understanding of all product development stages of product lifecycle from concept to launch
  • Technical knowledge of textiles, fabrications, weaves, printing techniques and manufacturing
  • Proven demonstration of ability to design various aesthetics and styles
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to change
