Position Summary
The Maintenance Foreperson manages a residential landscape maintenance bed care crew. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills. The Maintenance Foreperson must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service abilities while leading crews and maintaining high-end residential properties. Strong leadership and horticultural knowledge are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Landscape Maintenance amp; Horticulture
  • Perform maintenance on high-end residential properties, ensuring quality and client satisfaction
  • Demonstrate knowledge of horticulture and bed care practices
  • Identify and maintain ornamental trees, shrubs, perennials, and manage invasive growth
  • Execute seasonal services, including:
    • Spring clean-ups
    • Fall clean-ups
    • Snow removal
Bed Care amp; Property Upkeep
  • Perform bed edging, mulching, weeding, raking, and pruning
  • Apply chemicals such as fertilizers and weed control products in accordance with safety standards
  • Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing landscapes
Crew Leadership amp; Oversight
  • Assign duties and direct work in progress
  • Train and instruct crew members on proper techniques and safety procedures
  • Balance workloads among team members
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
  • Approve completed work
Customer Service amp; Communication
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding services and expectations
  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times
  • Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction

Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in residential landscape maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture, bed care, and plant identification
  • Working knowledge of commercial landscape equipment
  • Basic understanding of irrigation systems and minor repairs
  • Knowledge of proper edging, mulching, and chemical application techniques

  • Ability to lead and work effectively within a team
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Meet all physical requirements of the position.
  • Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations.
  • 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

This role is based in an office environment with occasional remote work flexibility. The position may require limited travel.
