CERTEX USA is seeking an experienced and dynamic Testing Bed Technician to join our team in Cocoa Beach, FL!


The Testing Technician is responsible for supporting and coordinating the daily operations of the Test Bed, including the setup, execution, and documentation of product testing activities. This role also provides technical assistance on a variety of engineering-related tasks and projects, such as product evaluation, data collection and analysis, and support for research, development, and quality initiatives. 


Key Responsibilities

Understand, operate, and correctly store tools, measuring devices and testing equipment (other than the Test Bed i.e., gap gauges, calipers, and punches). 

Conduct tests, diagnostics and calibrations pertaining to the Test Bed. 

Maintain testing equipment (lubrication, housekeeping, backup data, cameras, computer, etc.). 

Maintain appropriate rigging materials/tools to be used at the Test Bed (i.e., webbing clamps/pins, wire clamps, chain clamps, and Grade 120 material) 

Enter and maintain test program data and documentation in the Testing Software, ERP System, and the raw test data (Excel). 

Work alongside engineers, assisting with research, evaluation, design, and quality control processes. 

Assist in New Product development, research, testing, and ratings. 

Read, understand, and reference industry standards and associations. 

Inspect goods or products according to quality and safety standards. 

Develop and maintain company inspection reports. 

Identify possible areas for continuous improvement and offer suggestions. 

Ensure order fulfillment is not hindered by quality testing procedures. 

Perform other duties as assigned. 


Required Skills/Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

Thorough understanding of company product codes and terminology. 

Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments. 

Understanding of basic mathematical computations and geometric concepts. 

Experienced in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite. 


Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. 

Valid forklift truck certification required. 

At least 3-5 years of experience required. 

Exceptional work experience with the company preferred. 


Physical Requirements: 

Must be able to frequently traverse and move throughout the operations facility

Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally, either independently or with assistance when required

Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb 

Must have the manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination 

Must be able to visually inspect rigging components, test setups, and measurement tools, requiring adequate near vision, distance vision, and the ability to distinguish variations in materials and equipment conditions

Must be capable of climbing ladders or working from platforms when required 


Working Conditions, Hours, Travel

Work is performed primarily in an industrial manufacturing and testing environment, which may include exposure to machinery, moving mechanical parts, and heavy equipment

May involve exposure to moderate to high noise levels from production equipment and testing machinery. Hearing protection may be required in designated areas

Employees may experience varying temperatures depending on the facility conditions

Occasional exposure to dust, grease, lubricants, and industrial materials 

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed footwear, and hearing protection may be required depending on the task or testing environment

Occasional travel and overtime may be required


Other Requirements

Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background check

Display a professional and courteous attitude 

Report to work at the designated start time

Willing to travel to various work sites or training as required

Willing to work overtime, nights and weekends when necessary

Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures and comply with the Company's "Stop Work" policy

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designation operations and production areas as directed

Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and Supervisor with other duties  as required


Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
