Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience as a Program Manager, Project Manager, Business Analyst, or Product Owner within financial services

  • Strong experience delivering data-centric initiatives (Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, Regulatory Data, Reporting)

  • Hands-on experience with data governance platforms such as:

    • Collibra

    • Alation

    • Informatica

    • Solidatus

    • Atlan or Alation highly preferred

  • Solid understanding of data lifecycle concepts: metadata, lineage, stewardship, controls

  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives in matrixed environments

  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications
  • Capital Markets, Hedge Fund, Asset Management, or Investment Banking experience (strongly preferred)

  • Experience supporting regulatory or risk-driven data initiatives (BCBS 239, SEC reporting, GDPR)

  • Familiarity with modern data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake)

  • Exposure to enterprise data strategy or operating model design

Job Description

Mayfair Capital is seeking an experienced Data Governance Program Manager to lead enterprise-wide data governance initiatives across capital markets investment and operational platforms. This is a business-facing PM/BA hybrid role, responsible for owning delivery, requirements, stakeholder coordination, and execution of data governance capabilities.

The ideal candidate has strong capital markets or banking experience, hands-on exposure to data governance platforms, and a proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional programs from initiation through delivery.


Key ResponsibilitiesProgram & Delivery Management
  • Own end-to-end delivery of enterprise data governance initiatives, including scope, roadmap, milestones, dependencies, and execution tracking

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, RAID logs, and executive-level status reporting

  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across business, data governance, technology, and vendor teams

  • Drive execution against enterprise data governance priorities aligned to business outcomes

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with front, middle, and back-office stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business and data requirements

  • Lead requirements definition for Critical Data Elements (CDEs), data ownership, and governance workflows

  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Act as a liaison between business users and technology teams for data governance dashboards, reporting, and master data initiatives

Data Governance Enablement
  • Support design and rollout of data governance frameworks, including stewardship models, issue management, and operating procedures

  • Oversee documentation of data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, and data flow artifacts

  • Manage intake, prioritization, and remediation tracking of data quality issues

  • Conduct impact assessments for data-related changes and identify cross-platform dependencies

Change Management & Adoption
  • Facilitate governance forums, working sessions, and stakeholder reviews

  • Coordinate training, communications, and documentation to drive adoption of governance tools and standards

  • Track governance KPIs and maturity metrics for continuous improvement
