GPTZero is on a mission to restore trust and transparency on the internet. As the leading AI detection platform, we empower educators, students, journalists, marketers, and writers to navigate the evolving landscape of AI-generated content. We're seeking a talented Senior Product Designer who's passionate about AI transparency, understanding human needs in this AI world, and creating cutting-edge AI products. You'll collaborate closely with ML research, engineering and business teams to create a more-human internet. Join the team that's restoring trust and transparency.
What you'll do:
  • Conduct user research across our diverse users and customers, including students, educators, journalists, content creators, and more
  • Design consumer-facing experiences for new and existing features, from early concepts and user flows to high-fidelity mockups and shipped product
  • Partner closely with engineers to scope, iterate, and deliver high-quality experiences quickly

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end, user-centered design work, from research and problem framing to iteration and polished, production-ready interfaces.
  • Proven ability to translate complex or technical systems into clear, intuitive user experiences.
  • High ownership mentality. You move quickly, make decisions with imperfect information, and iterate based on real user feedback.
  • Strong interest in AI-powered products. Experience designing AI systems is a plus.
  • Experience working at an early-stage or fast-scaling startup.

Who you'll join:
We're a small team. We value ownership, transparency, and listening to each other.
Everyone works and interacts with everyone. Everyone is free to attend meetings across product functions, whether it's diving into designs or dropping into our ML learning groups.
Here are some people you'll work closely with. You'll be meeting everyone.

  2. Hybrid work in Downtown Office with lunch
  3. Competitive salary
  4. Competitive equity for a founding team member
    • We are a cash-flow positive/profitable company experiencing exponential growth in multiple industries. We are open to sharing our growth metrics with applicants.
