We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certificate from Beacon Educator Substitute course or its equivalent from Bay District Schools (see below).
    • If you do not have a valid ID badge from BDS, you will have to take a course online (www.beaconeducator.com). The course is called Professional Practices for Substitute Teachers. While on the site go to "offerings," then search in the search box for the course and scroll until you see the course. You must email Beacon for instructions and a temporary password to enroll in this class; send your request to sub@beaconeducator.com.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a level 2 background screening is required.
