Job description

Production Operator III

The Production Operator III at Lithion Battery is an advanced manufacturing role responsible for independently performing complex battery assembly operations, supporting production efficiency, and serving as a technical resource on the production floor. This position requires a high level of proficiency in multiple assembly processes, the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives. Production Operator III employees are expected to model best practices in safety, quality, and productivity while assisting in the training and support of less experienced operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently assemble battery components, including loading cells, soldering, hand crimping, ultrasonic welding, and resistance spot welding, with minimal supervision.
  • Perform advanced operation and basic troubleshooting of automated and semi-automated production equipment.
  • Identify, escalate, and assist in resolving equipment, process, and quality issues impacting production flow.
  • Interpret and apply detailed work instructions, workmanship criteria, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet internal and customer specifications.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and participate in improvement projects.
  • Assist with cross-training and onboarding of Production Operator I and II employees.
  • Accurately complete production documentation and maintain records using computer-based systems.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety policies and PPE requirements.

Qualifications & Key Competencies

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2โ€“4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
