MN-6 Quality Management Parts, High Voltage Battery Intern (Fall 2026)

From the beginning, students are entrusted with specific responsibilities, ensuring they play a significant role in their learning journey. As valued team members, students are also encouraged to share and implement their own ideas, enhancing both their personal growth and the collective success of the team.

Description: The student will take responsibilities of leading topics of BMW Tier 1 suppliers allowing themselves to follow up topics collaboratively, traveling to the suppliers as needed, and taking ownership of securing the deadlines needed. They will support the industrialization and launch of new plants to support the next generation of BMW battery technology including international collaboration. The unique and valuable experience will be provided for the student of being in direct contact with our tier 1 suppliers representing BMW. The student will be guided with a developed structure of tasks to complete over their internship so they may begin acquiring knowledge of our battery technology from day one. Development and experience is taken in the upmost importance within the E-Mobility department. At the end of the student's internship they will have acquired supplier experience, E-mobility technical knowledge, project management skills, and as much more as the student's motivation will bring.

The qualified intern/Co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions: Support the Ramp Up for all local produced parts related to E-Mobility in the USMCA region. Steering of department enabler projects. Innovation of saving all lessons learned for future team members within the department. Leading the department QMT Academy on a weekly basis. Reporting the statuses of topics assigned on a frequent basis. Accomplish the related assigned tasks of the Team in the region. Organizational support, coordination tasks as well as a to be defined dedicated work package related to E-Mobility in the USMCA Region. Establish or improve cross functional processes to secure more structure for the team. Perform timeline & data analysis to understand where the team is on the status point of view. Managing and limiting risks including following up with process partners frequently. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: High interest within the EV business or related field within the alternative powertrain area. Engineering, business management, supply chain management or similar background Team Player preferably with international experience. Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major) Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application. Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week). Transfer students must have a GPA from current university. MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
