BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking a Batch Processing Technician for Harrisburg, PA area. This position is full-time and the average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.
As a Batch Processing Technician, you're responsible for supporting the Pennsylvania New Hire Reporting Program by monitoring, validating, and troubleshooting automated batch processes within the Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS). This role ensures timely execution of system jobs, accurate data transmission, and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). The technician collaborates with technical teams and reporting analysts to maintain operational integrity and support program goals.

Key Responsibilities
:
  • Batch Job Monitoring
- Monitor daily batch processes such as CWDS to SDNH, Validate New Hires, RIP Roll-Off Exceptions, Analyze Daily Stats, and Purge New Hires.
- Verify successful completion of scheduled jobs and document outcomes.
- Initiate corrective actions and notify DL&I-OIT of any failures or anomalies.
  • System Message Review
- Access and interpret daily system messages related to batch processing status.
- Log completion times and job identifiers for audit and SLA tracking.
- Report discrepancies or delays to the Operations Supervisor and technical support teams.
  • Report Validation & Support
- Generate and validate reports such as Jobs Log, Validation Report, Duplicate Records Report, and Activity Summary.
- Assist Reporting Analysts in compiling monthly and annual summaries.
- Ensure consistency between batch outputs and operational reports.
Data Transmission Oversight
- Confirm transmission of validated new hire records to the State Directory of New Hires (SDNH) and National Directory (NDNH).
- Track and resolve transmission errors or rejected records.
- Maintain logs of export notifications and batch transmission confirmations.
  • Security & Compliance
- Handle sensitive personal information (PII) with strict confidentiality.
- Follow Commonwealth security protocols including encryption standards and role-based access.
- Participate in regular compliance and security training.
  • Performance Standards & Accountability
- Ensure 95% of batch jobs complete successfully within scheduled timeframes.
- Support SLA compliance by maintaining accurate logs and reporting failures promptly.
- Assist in monthly SLA reporting and service credit avoidance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in batch processing or technical operations.
- Familiarity with CWDS or similar workforce systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Business Objects Enterprise.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential data securely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated job scheduling and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of Commonwealth IT security protocols.
- Understanding of new hire reporting processes and data validation workflows.
