The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Chemical Batch Operator to work at a company located in the High Point, NC area!

Job Title: Chemical Batch Operator
Job Location: High Point, NC
Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $20hr Monday thru Friday 7:30am- 4:00pm
We are seeking an experienced Chemical Operator / Batch Maker to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for producing large-volume batches of cosmetic, personal care, OTC, fragrance, and related products while maintaining strict adherence to quality, safety, and cGMP standards.
The ideal candidate has hands-on batch manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to accurately follow production formulas and batch records in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture production batches following approved batch records, formulas, and work instructions.
  • Verify raw materials, including material identity, lot numbers, expiration dates, and quantities prior to use.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and stage ingredients using calibrated scales.
  • Operate industrial mixing vessels, homogenizers, pumps, agitators, and related processing equipment.
  • Monitor batch parameters including mixing speeds, temperatures, viscosity, appearance, and processing times.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control personnel to ensure in-process testing and product approvals are completed.
  • Transfer finished products to holding tanks or designated containers for packaging operations.
  • Maintain accurate batch records, production logs, equipment logs, and cleaning documentation.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment according to company SOPs and GMP requirements.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks, pumps, and forklifts as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols, FDA regulations, cGMP requirements, and company procedures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Assist with production scheduling priorities, line changeovers, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of batch making, compounding, chemical processing, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience in cosmetics, personal care, OTC products, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Ability to accurately follow written formulas, batch records, and production instructions.
  • Experience weighing and measuring raw materials.
  • Knowledge of industrial mixing and processing equipment.
  • Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to identify production or quality issues and communicate them promptly.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around processing equipment and raw materials.
