FOX Sports is looking to add a Senior Social Producer to lead our College Football and College Basketball social team. This role will serve as the creative and strategic leader for two of FOX Sports' most important social businesses, overseeing content strategy, editorial direction, team management, and day-to-day execution across platforms.

The ideal candidate is equal parts storyteller, editor, strategist, and leader. They possess deep expertise in social content creation, video editing, audience development, and platform trends, while also having the leadership skills to build and develop high-performing teams. This individual will set the creative vision for FOX Sports' college sports coverage, identify opportunities to innovate through AI and emerging technologies, and ensure our content consistently reaches and engages fans across every platform.

This is a hands-on leadership role. While responsible for managing a team of producers, editors, and freelancers, the Senior Social Producer is also expected to be deeply involved in content ideation, editing, publishing, and major event coverage throughout the year. The ideal candidate thrives in live-event environments and has extensive experience leading social war rooms during major sporting events, making real-time decisions that drive audience growth, engagement, and cultural relevance.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the social content strategy, editorial direction, and day-to-day execution for FOX Sports College Football and College Basketball accounts
  • Lead and develop a team of producers, establishing creative standards, workflows, priorities, and performance expectations
  • Lead real-time social coverage during live games, breaking news, and major tentpole events, serving as the primary decision-maker in war room environments and driving content planning, publishing priorities, and moment-to-moment storytelling across platforms
  • Lead the production of social and digital content, including video editing, motion graphics, story development, show production, talent prep, and video shooting/directing
  • Lead content planning for major tentpole events, including the College Football season, College Football Playoff, conference championships, rivalry games, March Madness, and other key moments
  • Oversee the social strategy and content production for The Joel Klatt Show and other college sports talent-driven initiatives
  • Create and execute platform-specific content strategies for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, Threads, and emerging platforms
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve content creation workflows, increase production efficiency, and unlock new storytelling opportunities
  • Utilize audience insights, platform trends, and performance data to inform programming priorities, content strategy, and long-term planning
  • Partner closely with programming, production, marketing, communications, sales, talent, and digital leadership to align social coverage with broader company objectives

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 9+ years of experience leading digital, social, or content production teams
  • Experience managing social coverage for major sporting events, tentpole moments, or breaking news events that generated audiences in the millions
  • Experience incorporating AI tools into content creation, editing workflows, ideation, research, clipping, captioning, and production processes
  • Extensive experience leading live-event social coverage and operating in high-pressure war room environments, with a demonstrated ability to make editorial, creative, and publishing decisions in real time
  • Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing content teams
  • Deep expertise in social-first storytelling, audience development, platform strategy, and content optimization
  • Extensive knowledge of College Football, College Basketball, recruiting, coaching storylines, player narratives, and the broader sports landscape
  • Expert-level proficiency in Premiere Pro and strong working knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects
  • Demonstrated success creating high-performing short-form video content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms
  • Strong editorial judgment and the ability to make real-time decisions in fast-moving news and live-event environments
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using performance data to guide creative and programming decisions
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with talent, athletes, coaches, production partners, league representatives, and internal stakeholders
  • Critical thinking around newsworthiness, source verification, and risk assessment when publishing content
  • Ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on content creation and execution
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and major sporting events as required

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $92,000.00-128,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
