Job Summary
Assists with the management of administrative, fiscal, planning and staff support activities for the men's basketball program. Serves as one of the primary administrative points of contact for internal and external constituencies, often on complex and confidential issues. Assists the Director of Basketball Operations on all team travel arrangements and serves as liaison to visiting teams. Assists in coordinating team functions and community service projects. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent.
  • Experience with basketball as a player, coach, team manager, graduate assistant or intern at the college, high school, or equivalent level.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules.
  • Ability to travel and work evening and weekend hours as required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under the University's Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in sports management or related field.
  • Previous experience in a college/university athletics department and/or men's basketball office.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and legislation and committed to abiding by them.
  • Maintains and promotes a positive public relations image among team members and coaching staff.
  • Possess the ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills and have a "Customer Focus" attitude and delivery.
  • Possess the ability to effectively plan and coordinate, establish and maintain effective working relationships and prioritize workloads based on available resources.
  • Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
