Job description

ECM Energy Services is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Fleet Mechanic to join our team in Bridgeport, WV. This position focuses primarily on preventative maintenance and light repairs for our light-duty fleet vehicles.

Position Summary

The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on company light-duty trucks and fleet vehicles. This role plays a key part in maintaining safety, minimizing downtime, and extending the life of company assets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·         Perform preventative maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid checks, etc.)

·         Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety and DOT compliance

·         Diagnose and complete minor mechanical and electrical repairs

·         Maintain accurate service and maintenance records

·         Coordinate with operations to schedule routine maintenance

·         Ensure shop area is clean, organized, and safe

·         Assist with parts ordering and inventory tracking as needed

·         Respond to light emergency repair needs when required

Qualifications

·         Previous experience as an automotive or fleet mechanic preferred

·         Experience working on light-duty trucks and fleet vehicles

·         Basic knowledge of electrical, brake, suspension, and engine systems

·         Ability to use diagnostic tools and shop equipment

·         Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus but not required)

·         Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

·         Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
