Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assume the role of primary medical provider until relieved by RFD or REMSA or patient declines further care.
Respond to all medical emergencies on a priority basis.
Conduct thorough and complete assessments.
Assist with recommending appropriate course of action involving team member injuries.
Complete team member injury reports (Worker's Comp/C1).
Respond quickly to emergency conditions such as fire, safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property.
Memorize and monitor life safety systems installed on property including layout of entire building, alarm pull stations, location of fire extinguisher and sprinklers.
Serve and promote a safe environment for hotel guests and team members.
In the event of a medical emergency, take control and instruct Security Officers trained in First Aid.
Respond with armed officers during high-risk events and stage within the warm zone ready to provide immediately lifesaving care to injured team members or guests.
Complete approved Tactical Emergency Combat Casualty Care course at company expense.
Complete quarterly trainings with other EMTs as well as Special Response Team.
Complete AHA BLS Instructor course at company expense so as to instruct Security officers in Basic Life Support
Assist Life Safety Supervisor in conducting quarterly CPR trainings for all Security Personnel.
Maintain order in the hotel focusing on the welfare of the guests and team members.
Conduct arrests of guest or team members who violate misdemeanor and felony laws.
Handle undesired conduct, violations of hotel policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of hotel guests, team members, patrons and property.
Screen persons entering entrances for purpose and authorization.
Stand stationary/mobile posts inside/outside the hotel as directed by Security Management.
Patrol the property on a continual basis assisting guests/team members and securing the hotel property against loss and/or damage.
Be observant in all areas inside/outside of the hotel for safety concerns or suspicious circumstances.
Use good judgment, reason and a calm demeanor when approaching a disgruntled individual. In the event of a confrontation, separate the involved persons without getting hurt or escalating the situation.
Complete investigations and subsequent reports by asking questions pertinent to the situation such as: who, what, where why, how, etc. in order to gather sufficient details to thoroughly satisfy investigation/report requirements. Use a computer report writing system to complete reports and be able to follow through/up on any given report.
Make constant contact with both guests and team members to provide optimal service. This includes contact with various hotel departments in an effort to provide/obtain pertinent information needed for guest service, investigations, etc.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to work in a fast-paced, prone to interruptions environment while managing several tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills with ability to accurately and efficiently draft written reports.
High level of understanding of interpersonal skills to productively work with and respond to questions from Managers, staff, clients, Law Enforcement and the general public.
Excellent time management skills.
High level of problem-solving abilities and an ability to remain calm in critical incidents.
Cooperate with and gain the trust of, a range of persons with differing personalities.
Ability of simple math, and complex reading, writing, and task completion skills is required.
Must have the following skills: clerical, compiling, coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, driving, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 year' experience in providing high quality emergency care preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.
Must obtain and maintain State of Nevada EMS License and AHA Basic Life Support Card.
Valid driver's license and must produce acceptable driving record per GSR SOP from DMV annually to present to management to remain in position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member may be constantly standing, walking, occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, climbing and frequently balancing during the duration of their shift.
Dependent on the assignment of the designated shift the team member must be able to lift/carry and push/pull up to 25lbs or less frequently or up to 100lbs occasionally.
Dependent on the assignment of the designated shift the team member may be frequently driving.
The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both feet and hands and require frequent light and occasional firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be occasionally required.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed frequently indoors and outdoors alone or with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment and other electrical devices.
Team Member may be exposed to confined areas, extreme heat or cold, wet and/or humid areas, dirt/dust, moving objects, high places, and slippery surfaces.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Team Member may be exposed to vibrations, fumes/odor and/or secondhand smoke.
