Job Description We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our team building a strategic platform for regulatory capital reporting and analysis under Basel rules. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Basel regulations, risk-weighted asset calculations, SQL, Python, and big data technologies and a proven ability to design, develop, and optimize scalable data-intensive applications for regulatory capital reporting. Responsibilities: Deliver hands-on application development to support current and target capital reporting processes. Collaborate with data sourcing, architecture, and compliance teams to implement target architecture and migrate to the strategic platform. Elaborate requirements for data sourcing elements for calculating risk-weighted assets. Define business logic and process flows for computing Basel rules-based capital ratios. Ensure compliance with regulatory capital reporting under Basel rules. Tune performance and optimize data-intensive applications to achieve scalability and stability. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong background in Basel regulations, including Basel 3 Endgame, FRTB, and SACCR. Ability to read Python and translate logic into modular components. 5+ years of SQL programming experience, preferably on Oracle Exadata. Experience with data preparation tools such as Altryx and Trifacta. Strong data analytical skills and problem-solving ability. Clear communication skills and effective teamwork in agile environments. Preferred Skills: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline. Background in capital calculations and regulatory compliance for financial institutions. Experience with big data technologies, including Spark and Hadoop. Familiarity with Quartz platform and enterprise application scaling. Experience with agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
