About i9 Sports

At i9 Sports, we're committed to helping kids succeed in life through sports. We offer youth leagues, camps, and clinics for children ages 3-14 in flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball.
Our programs emphasize fun, safety, convenience, and good sportsmanship, creating a positive experience for players, families, and coaches. We believe youth sports should build confidence, teach life skills, and leave every child excited to come back next week.
Position Summary

The Baseball Instructor & Official plays a vital role in creating an exceptional i9 Sports experience for every player, parent, and coach.
As an Instructor, you'll mentor volunteer coaches, teach age-appropriate Baseball fundamentals, and help create an encouraging environment where every child can develop skills and confidence.
As an Official, you'll do much more than enforce rules—you'll keep games fun, safe, instructional, and fair while encouraging sportsmanship and positive competition.
This is an active, hands-on position that works with players of all ages and skill levels throughout practices and game days.
Baseball Instructor Responsibilities

  • Mentor and support volunteer coaches during practices and game days.
  • Teach Baseball fundamentals through age-appropriate instruction and demonstrations.
  • Promote i9 Sports core values, including sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
  • Help oversee Baseball  operations to ensure games run safely and on schedule.
  • Build positive relationships with players, parents, coaches, and fellow staff.
  • Assist with officiating games when needed.
  • Set up and break down fields and equipment before and after each event.
  • Maintain a fun, energetic, and encouraging atmosphere for all participants.
Baseball Official Responsibilities

  • Officiate games while ensuring player safety and a positive learning environment.
  • Enforce i9 Sports rules consistently and fairly.
  • Encourage age-appropriate instruction and competition.
  • Teach and reinforce sportsmanship throughout each game.
  • Communicate respectfully with players, coaches, and spectators.
  • Assist with field setup and breakdown.
  • Serve as a positive ambassador for the i9 Sports experience.
Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Baseball rules, skills, and game play.
  • Previous coaching, playing, or officiating experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, energetic, and dependable with a passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and adapt during game-day situations.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build positive relationships with families and coaches.
  • Available to work weekends throughout each season (approximately 7 weeks).
  • Ability to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
