Commercial Inside Sales
JOB SUMMARY: Provides timely sales related services which include, but not limited to, interpretation/analysis of customer inquiries, customer service, complaints, requests for literature, record keeping, typing correspondence etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Provides timely inside sales functions and services which include, but not limited to estimates, quotations, shop drawings, sales follow up, order entry, customer service functions, job/ quote file record keeping, correspondences, delivery updates, post-sale support, etc.
  2. Perform a variety of administrative duties for commercial sales including typing, mail distribution, phone messages, ordering literature and invoice reconciliation.
  3. Performs sales tracking activities such as maintaining sales files, filing shipping acknowledgements, scanning files and date tracking.
  4. Ensure that shop drawings and other technical data is maintained, completed and forwarded to clients.
  5. Assist the Plan and Spec estimator as needed on Plan and spec (P amp;S) projects. Provide pre and post bid competitive data, scope of BOM and contractor input for P amp;S projects to increase closure ratio.
  6. Familiar of all Carrier and other vendor sales/engineering productivity software tools: Quote Builder, Quote Pro, E Cat, E Design suite, Mestek, Greenheck, MicroMetl, CDI, etc
  7. Perform a variety of customer service related activities including checking order status, delivery of shop drawings, filling literature requests, responding to customers, etc.
  8. Promotes and maintains a flexible cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude with and between departments and end users.
  9. Ensures timely, accurate, proper records, files, data bases, etc. are developed and maintained for assigned areas of responsibility.
  10. Ability to read construction documents (plans/specifications) and ability to quickly research various equipment model numbers and interpret nomenclature for quoting purposes.
  11. Position is a building block on a career in Commercial HVAC equipment sales. Career advancements into an associate sales engineer teaming up with sales engineers, and eventually a commercial HVAC equipment sales engineer role.
  12. Open and willing to perform other duties as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
  1. 3- 5 years’ experience in HVAC engineering, contracting, HVAC technical sales or support is preferred.
  2. Mechanical or civil engineering or Construction Management degree is preferred.
  3. Excellent skills in organization, detail orientation, analytical, clerical and follow through.
  4. Solid understanding of the company’s sales function and related service.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Proficient PC and related spreadsheet and software applications.
  7. Be a self-starter and posses the ability to work with limited supervision.
