Job description

If you are driven to deliver exceptional fan experiences that are beyond anything possible elsewhere and interested in working alongside a team of innovators and enthusiastic over-achievers, you will enjoy working with us!
Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for prepping food and assisting Chef prep. Responsibilities include dishwashing duties, dinner wares, pots and pans, utensils, service platters, equipment, and general daily sanitary maintenance. The cook position will also maintain clean and full shelves and refrigerators through stocking and helping maintain inventory levels. Serving and assisting diners is of the utmost importance. This position will work during the days leading up to, during, and following homestands as well as some various events throughout the season.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist Chef prep for grille menu, and buffet meals
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine
  • Sort and organize clean dishes
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays; Sort and organize when returning to proper location
  • Remove trash and recycling to dumpsters
  • Stock front of the house refrigerators, and shelves
  • Assist Chef log and maintain inventory levels, and know how and when to order more products
  • Serve diners and assist them with any information about what the meals are, including any allergens and nutritional values that may exist
  • Friendly and comfortable service, including helping diners with anything they may need help with
  • Close the kitchen down each night in a clean, organized, and stocked room
  • Assist Chef with other daily activities as need be

Qualifications:
  • Must be ServSafe certified
  • Must be comfortable and safe with basic knife skills, as well as cooking techniques requiring fire and hot temperatures
  • 2 years experience in professional kitchens
  • Experience and knowledge of cooking from scratch
  • Abide by safety and sanitary rules of the kitchen to ensure the safest environment for food and the diners
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal skills, including the ability to communicate with others clearly and accurately
  • Ability to read, or listen to instructions, and follow instructions
  • Ability to read and comprehend labels and cleaning chemicals
  • Availability to work a non-traditional schedule that will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Requires standing for long periods at a time, occasional climbing, and stooping or kneeling
  • Requires lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of up to 30 pounds
  • Effective January 10, 2022, the Atlanta Braves require all US-based employees in the player-facing departments to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment and provide proof of such vaccination prior to the commencement of employment; this role is subject to the vaccine requirement
