PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide exceptional service to fans and families visiting the Kids Clubhouse and Family Deck. Enhance the Progressive Field experience by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and delivering personalized attention. Remain vigilant and proactive during your shift to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest, encouraging them to return to Progressive Field. Contribute to a secure, enjoyable, and comfortable environment for all visitors by actively engaging with our youngest fans through a variety of kid-friendly activities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Actively engage with children and families in the Kids Clubhouse, providing information about available activities and fostering a welcoming environment. 
  • Oversee play activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants, while maintaining a positive atmosphere and preventing horseplay. 
  • Learn to operate high-tech equipment, assist guests with waiver completion, and help manage crowd control and line queuing. 
  • Maintain and control inventory of Kids Clubhouse materials, ensuring resources are organized and accessible. 
  • Seek daily feedback from guests to enhance their experience, displaying a lively and interactive demeanor throughout the Kids Clubhouse and associated areas. 
  • Work collaboratively with other staff in Ballpark Services, supporting various roles as assigned and demonstrating problem-solving skills when necessary. 
  • All public areas within and surrounding the ballpark should be monitored to maintain cleanliness, order, and safety, with any important findings reported to Base. 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience working with children or Early Childhood Education students preferred. 
  • Must be trustworthy and dependable, with the ability to analyze situations and solve problems effectively, whether working independently or as part of a team. 
  • Familiarity with basic baseball skills, such as hitting, pitching, and running techniques, or the capacity to acquire these skills. 
  • Ability to learn and operate basic computer operating programs (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, tablets, etc.). 
  • Must be at least 16 years old. 

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Available to work the vast majority (minimum 40 of 81) of all home games during April through September. 
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and all holidays during the baseball season. 
  • Ability to work entire assigned shift, this includes but not limited to pre-events, post events, and rain delays. 
  • Attend all required trainings and daily briefings. 
  • Typical Work Hours (subject to change depending on game/gate time: 
    • Night Games: 5:00pm start 
    • Day Games: 10:00am start 
    • Break times are determined by your Supervisor
