Job description

The Operations Attendant is a field-based role responsible for executing daily facility operations and event setups at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC). This position supports athletic and non-athletic events by performing physical setup, breakdown, and operational support tasks under the direction of Operations leadership.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in events and daily operational setups and breakdowns across JRTC facilities
  • Execute event layouts, room setups, and field support elements according to information and direction provided by Operations leadership and Lead Attendants
  • Set up, move, and arrange furniture, equipment, barricades, cones, and signage as instructed
  • Assist with safe movement, placement, and breakdown of furniture and equipment throughout the complex
  • Follow proper lifting techniques, equipment uses, and safety practices during all tasks
  • Assist with maintaining organization and cleanliness of Operations storage spaces and return furniture and equipment to designated storage locations after use
  • Support clubhouse operations as assigned, including locker rooms, laundry support, hydration stations, and preparation of support spaces
  • Assist with dugout, seating bowl, and exterior operational support tasks according to standard procedures
  • Assist in monitoring and removing garbage around the facility grounds, with a focus on exterior locations, to maintain a clean and inviting environment for guests
  • Assist with gate operations, including directing vehicle traffic, safely parking vehicles, providing guest directions, and processing payments for designated events
  • Assist with receiving incoming shipments, including unloading, moving items to designated staging or storage areas, and supporting inventory processes
  • Report equipment issues, damages, missing items, or safety concerns to the Senior Coordinator, Facilities & Event Operations
  • Complete assigned tasks fully and accurately before transitioning to the next assignment
  • Other duties as assigned by Operations Leadership

Requirements & Skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to lift, reach, kneel, and bend
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests, coworkers, and leadership
