Job description

Baruch Senior Ministries, a faith-based, nonprofit organization, is looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to be a Life Enrichment Coordinator at Bishop Hills Assisted Living in Rockford, MI. Bishop Hills offers assisted living in a home-like environment with a range of care covering minimal assistance to care for the frail elderly.
As the Life Enrichment Coordinator you are responsible for planning, implementing, scope, and emphasis of life enrichment programs to encourage and stimulate residents' physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs. You will produce and distribute the monthly community newsletter and activities calendar. You may be asked to plan and assist in research projects. You are responsible for the volunteer program.
You will have the opportunity to work for a faith-based company that has a passion for providing vulnerable residents with high-quality care and nurturing their dignity and independence. We provide training and a very competitive benefits package.
Qualified Candidates will possess:
  • A passion for developing and promoting programming that enhances each resident's quality of life.

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree preferred.

  • An Activity Director, or Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certification is preferred.

  • Three years' experience developing life enrichment programs and conducting activities for residents in a long-term care setting OR a combination of education and experience

  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in word, outlook, and other software programs used by Baruch.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
