Job Summary:

The Welder Fabricator is responsible for assembling, welding, and fabricating metal components and structures according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, metal fabrication, and blueprint reading. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.

· Operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders, to join metal parts.

· Cut, shape, and fabricate metal components using tools such as shears, cutters, and grinders.

· Perform quality checks on welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure they meet specifications and standards.

· Set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment to ensure proper operation.

· Collaborate with team members to plan and execute fabrication projects.

· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to welding and fabrication processes.

· Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

· Assist in the development and improvement of fabrication processes and techniques.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or metal fabrication preferred.

· Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

· Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick).

· Strong understanding of metal properties, welding symbols, and fabrication processes.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.

· Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to welding and fabrication.

· Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.

Working Conditions:

· The role involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and fumes.

· Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

· Ability to lift 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.

· Frequent bending, reaching, and working in awkward positions.

· Occasional overtime and weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
