Job description

Job Title: Fabrication Shop Laborer

Location: Piketon, OH

Status: Full Time


Job Summary

InSolves is seeking a dependable and hardworking Fabrication Shop Laborer to support daily manufacturing and fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will assist fabricators, welders, and machine operators with material handling, shop maintenance, equipment operation, and general labor duties to ensure efficient production and a safe work environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist fabricators, welders, and production personnel with daily shop tasks.
  • Load, unload, move, and organize raw materials and finished products.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, saws, and other shop equipment as directed.
  • Prepare materials for cutting, welding, and assembly processes.
  • Clean and maintain work areas, machinery, and equipment.
  • Assist with packaging, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • Perform basic measurements and material inspections.
  • Follow work orders, production schedules, and supervisor instructions.
  • Maintain compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Support inventory management and material staging activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing, construction, fabrication, or industrial experience is a plus.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
  • Forklift experience or certification is preferred but not required.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
