Job description

Manufacturing Manager

Build the Best.

At GSC Power-Division, we don't just manufacture automotive parts—we engineer and build some of the highest-quality performance camshafts and valvetrain components in the world. Our products power championship-winning race cars and high-performance street cars across the globe.

We're looking for a Manufacturing Manager who wants to do more than manage production. We're looking for someone who is passionate about refining processes, increasing efficiency, and helping one of the industry's leading manufacturers continue to raise the bar.

Our philosophy is simple: never stop improving. We continually invest in better equipment, smarter processes, automation, and the development of our people. If you're driven by solving problems, improving efficiency, and finding better ways to manufacture world-class products, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact here.

Our Manufacturing Environment

You'll work in a modern, technology-driven manufacturing facility that includes:

  • CNC multitasking turning centers with automated bar feeders and part handling
  • High-speed CBN camshaft grinding systems
  • CNC turning, milling, and grinding centers
  • Dedicated manufacturing cells designed for high-precision production
  • Advanced inspection and metrology equipment

We're continually investing in new technology, automation, and manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and consistency. We're looking for someone who shares that mindset and wants to help drive the next generation of manufacturing excellence at GSC.

About the Role

As our Manufacturing Manager, you'll lead day-to-day manufacturing operations while helping improve how we build our products. You'll work closely with engineering and production to increase efficiency, improve quality, develop manufacturing processes, and build a stronger team.

This is a hands-on leadership position. We aren't looking for someone to sit behind a desk—we're looking for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, leading by example, solving problems, and developing people.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations and production priorities.
  • Improve CNC machining processes and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Program CNC equipment and support manufacturing operations.
  • Create and maintain production prints, setup sheets, and work instructions.
  • Train, mentor, and develop machine operators.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and outside service providers.
  • Manage tooling inventory and recommend tooling improvements.
  • Support new product launches from engineering into production.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, throughput, and manufacturing capability.
  • Work with management to meet production, quality, and delivery objectives.

What We're Looking For:
The right attitude, it's just as important as experience.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Takes ownership and follows through.
  • Has a positive, get-it-done attitude.
  • Leads by example.
  • Takes pride in producing exceptional work.
  • Enjoys solving problems and improving processes.
  • Gets excited about finding better ways to manufacture parts through automation, tooling, technology, and process improvements.
  • Is organized and detail-oriented.
  • Communicates well and enjoys developing others.
  • Holds themselves and their team to a high standard.

Preferred Experience

  • Five or more years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience with CNC turning, milling, grinding, or multitasking machining centers.
  • CNC programming experience.
  • Experience with process development and continuous improvement.
  • Experience implementing manufacturing automation and improving manufacturing efficiency.
  • Experience managing production in a precision manufacturing or machine shop environment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and create manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience coordinating equipment maintenance and tooling.

A college degree is not required. We value proven experience, leadership, initiative, and a strong work ethic over formal education.

Why GSC?

For more than 20 years, GSC Power-Division has earned a reputation for producing some of the highest-quality performance camshafts and valvetrain components in the aftermarket industry.

Nearly everything we sell is designed, machined, ground, inspected, and assembled in-house. We don't cut corners, and we don't settle for "good enough."

When our name goes on a product, it represents our commitment to precision, craftsmanship, and performance. Every employee plays a role in protecting that reputation.

You'll Succeed Here If...

  • You take pride in building products that are among the best in the industry.
  • You enjoy solving problems instead of waiting for someone else to fix them.
  • You believe there is always a better, more efficient way to manufacture a part.
  • You enjoy improving manufacturing systems—not just maintaining them.
  • You get excited about automation and using technology to make manufacturing smarter and more efficient.
  • You lead by example and earn the respect of the people around you.
  • You enjoy coaching others and helping them improve.
  • You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and work alongside your team.
  • You care about quality as much as productivity.
  • You take ownership of your work and follow through on your commitments.
  • You want to make a lasting impact on a company that's committed to building the best.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Performance bonus opportunity.
  • Paid Time Off.
  • Health benefits.
  • Retirement plan.
  • Long-term career growth with a growing American manufacturer.

If you're looking for an opportunity where your leadership matters, your ideas are valued, and you can help shape the future of a world-class manufacturing operation, we'd love to hear from you.
