Patient Transport is an excellent opportunity to begin your career at Baptist Health Louisville. As a Transporter, you will develop the interpersonal, professional, and safe patient handling skills necessary for your success in any career in the medical field. Patient Transport services nearly every area of the hospital, providing students interested in a healthcare career a first-hand look at nursing and diagnostic fields. Using EPIC transport tracking and the latest in patient movement technology, you will be able to utilize your own abilities to assist in patient care. With opportunities for learning and growth in dispatching, training and leadership, Transportation is an excellent team to join.

The Transport Team provides service to the hospital 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We offer a variety of shifts to fit your school, social or pre-professional schedule. Day Shift positions start between 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Mid Shift positions start at 3:00 p.m., and Night Shift positions start at 8:30 p.m.

Full-time and part-time positions are available with an every third weekend requirement.

PRN positions are available with an every other weekend requirement.

Responsibilities

Performs activities related to transportation of patients to and from diagnostic testing, room to room transfers, discharge, and admission as directed by nursing and ancillary departments. Serves the customer base in the facility such as: patients, visitors, physician offices, ancillary departments and nursing units.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous hospital/transport experience desirable.
Must complete BCLS within 90 days of hire
