The Big Picture
Stanchfield Baptist Church (https://www.stanchfieldbaptist.com) is seeking a pastor to shepherd the people of God by boldly preaching, teaching, and praying from the word of God.
We're looking for someone who thrives on building meaningful relationships, loves the charm of small-town life, and enjoys connecting with families, kids, and teens in our community. We want a dynamic communicator who can inspire from the pulpit, a caring leader who guides with compassion, and a mentor who can uplift our congregation and leadership team. Together, we'll expand our spiritual impact both locally and beyond, creating a community where worship, discipleship, and outreach come to life!
Requirements
The Church
Stanchfield Baptist Church is a rural church in Isanti County about an hour north of the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area.We are part of the Converge North Central Baptist conference. We are a small church celebrating our 160th anniversary this year, and have, for the last 5 years, had one pastor, an office manager, and custodial people on staff. We are made up of a cross section of younger families and senior adults.
The Mission
Our mission is
- to glorify God through worship, obedience, and love
- to equip and edify the body of Christ for ministry of service, fellowship, and spiritual growth
- to proclaim Christ to our community and world by word and deed.
The Candidate
Our rural church is looking for a full-time male senior pastor candidate who
- will lead our congregation
- has a mature relationship with Jesus Christ demonstrated through a life of integrity, humility, and prayer
- is dedicated to the fulfillment of the Great Commission and will guide us in the fulfillment of the mission statement of Stanchfield Baptist Church
- aligns with our church's doctrinal beliefs and is committed to faithfully preaching and teaching the Bible
- has an expository preaching style (primarily defined as through a book of the Bible and verse by verse preaching)
- can collaborate with like-minded area churches and pastors
- has a young family who would live in the parsonage as part of the compensation
- desires to be an active part of the community.
- has a Bible-related degree with a willingness to pursue a Master's degree (we have professional development funds available)
- has previous pastoral experience (preferably 3-5 years ministry experience)
Benefits
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package depending on experience. Compensation includes a parsonage, which is a large 5 bedroom/2 bathroom house, with a study, on the church property. Professional development funds are available for expanding future education.
