We currently have an opening for Part-time Banquet Setup.
Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Banquets Captain and Banquets Manager this position is responsible for providing clean and properly set function rooms.
Job Requirements:
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations and using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Essential Functions of Position:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should perform the following essential functions of the position:
• Understands BEO (Banquet Event Order) and how to complete a set-up
• Keeps the function rooms, conference areas and storage areas clean and neat at all times
• Returns all equipment not in use to its proper storage area in a clean condition before the end of each shift
• Services/freshens all meeting rooms during breaks. Checks temperature and see if all lights are working and adjusted properly
• Assists Banquet staff, when necessary, which may include food running, bussing and buffet break down
• Helps perform inventories of Banquet equipment and supplies
• Eliminates safety hazards
• Follows Engineering's Work Order Program in reporting broken or damaged equipment
