KippsDeSanto is focused on providing comprehensive investment banking services - primarily M&A, private financing, and strategic advisory - to middle market aerospace, defense, government services and enterprise technology companies.
Our Associates perform critical functions throughout the entire transaction process, from helping to prepare clients for the market, engaging with potential buyers, facilitating due diligence, and ultimately closing the deal. The position offers substantial opportunities to gain financial and technical expertise, professional development, and upward mobility, while taking on a substantial amount of responsibility in transaction execution, client management, and new business development.
General Responsibilities
  • Preparing, analyzing, and explaining historical and projected financial information
  • Managing and assisting in the preparation of financial models and business valuations
  • Conducting industry and company-specific due diligence
  • Creating client marketing presentations, memoranda, and deliverables
  • Attending client meetings
  • Drafting and collaborating on pitch presentations
  • Developing an understanding of the underlying trends that affect the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Technology industries
  • Coordinating and managing the creation of industry and market research publications
  • Assisting in the development and continued cultivation of client, prospect, and professional advisor relationships
  • Assisting in the management and mentoring of junior team members

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory experience with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business management, or economics
  • Financial modeling experience, to include DCF and LBO valuations
  • FINRA Licenses - 63,79, SIE

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $160,000 - $225,000 for Associate, Mergers and Acquisitions
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
