Job description

The Core Banking System Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and operational integrity of the Bank's Fiserv DNA core processing platform and associated systems. This position ensures the reliability, security, and performance of the core system while supporting business operations, regulatory requirements, and strategic initiatives. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Administer and maintain the Fiserv DNA core banking system, including configuration, parameter management, user access, and system monitoring.
  • Oversee system updates, releases, patches, and enhancements, ensuring proper testing, documentation, and implementation.
  • Provide advanced technical support for DNA-related issues, serving as the primary escalation point for internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Fiserv and third-party vendors to resolve system incidents, integration issues, and service requests.
  • Manage and support interfaces and ancillary systems connected to DNA, including digital banking, EFT/ATM networks, document imaging, loan origination, deposit origination, and reporting platforms.
  • Maintain system security controls, user permissions, and audit trails in accordance with Bank policies and regulatory standards.
  • Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and risk assessments related to the core system.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize reports, queries, and data extracts using DNA Publisher (CRM/BI), SQL, and related tools.
  • Monitor data quality, support data governance initiatives, and assist business units with reporting and analysis needs.
  • Participate in technology projects involving the core system or integrated applications, including requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, workflows, and administrative activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, enhance system utilization, and support organizational goals.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience administering the Fiserv DNA core banking system.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, including deposits, loans, general ledger, payments, and digital channels.
  • Proficiency with DNA administrative tools such as DNA Admin, DNA Publisher, Client360, DNA Extranet and DNA App Store.
  • Experience with SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and coordinate resolutions with vendors.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to banking technology, including FFIEC and GLBA.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a community banking environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a community bank or similar financial institution.
  • Familiarity with Fiserv ancillary products such as Core API, Message Pay, Instant Open, Prologue, and WireXchange.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, or API integrations.
  • Project management or business analysis experience.
