TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Cardiac Stepdown RN in Stockbridge, Georgia, 30281!

Registered Nurse โ€“ Cardiac Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM โ€“ 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a Cardiac Stepdown / Overflow IMCU unit with a 1:5โ€“6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 32-bed unit
  • Manage and monitor continuous IV cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, and Nitroglycerin, as well as diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips
  • Perform arrhythmia management and cardioversion for stable cardiac arrhythmias including A-Fib, SVT, and Bradycardia
  • Care for patients presenting with CHF, chest pain, renal conditions, pulmonary conditions (COPD, pulmonary edema), PE, DVT, DKA, and post-cardiac cath including TR Band management
  • Support surgical patients including those with chest tubes, biliary drains, and general surgical cases, as well as occasional vascular overflow patients
  • Float within the facility within scope of practice as needed and adhere to holiday and on-call scheduling expectations as outlined at time of offer
Required Qualifications
  • Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Demonstrated experience managing continuous IV cardiac drip medications (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Argatroban, Aggrastat, and insulin drips)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Basic arrhythmia knowledge and experience with Med/Surg level patient care
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR, Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
  • Experience in an IMCU, PCU, or Cardiac Stepdown setting
  • Familiarity with TR Band management and post-cardiac catheterization care
