Delivery & Service Associate (Level 1)
๐Ÿ“ Beltsville, MD | Full-Time | In Person
Pay: Starting at $19.00 - $22/hr for Level 1, with a clear, published path to $30+/hour as you grow
Schedule: 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), with the possibility of alternatively working four days a week
About Commonwealth Joe
Commonwealth Joe Coffee Roasters (CWJ) is a DMV-based specialty coffee company delivering award-winning cold brew where people work, live, and play. We operate a flagship cafe in Arlington, VA, a roastery and brewery in Beltsville, MD, and a corporate team supporting our cold brew on tap program nationwide.
Proudly the #1 cold brew company sold in kegs in the US, CWJ serves more than 500,000 coffee enthusiasts across 30+ states. Our commitment to craftsmanship and community has made our cold brew a staple in workplaces and homes alike.
We believe in making amazing coffee approachable and accessible to all. We are a group of passionate coffee lovers with diverse backgrounds and interests, united by our commitment to living out Commonwealth Joe's values in every interaction with each other, our customers, and our community.
About the Role
Our Delivery & Service Technicians are the most frequent point of contact between Commonwealth Joe and our customers. Every delivery is a moment of truth for the brand. As a Delivery & Service Associate (Level 1), you are the face of CWJ to the wholesale and office accounts we serve across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.
This is the first tier of our Delivery Career Development Roadmap, a five-level framework built to give every Delivery & Service Team Member a clear, measurable path to grow. You will start by mastering the fundamentals that every great delivery depends on: reliability, accuracy, safety, and genuine customer care. From day one, you will also begin hands-on training on our Nitro Cold Brew kegerator systems, which is your launch point into the technical and leadership roles above you.
We are a fast-paced, collaborative, coffee-centric company, and we are serious about turning delivery into a real career, not a job with a ceiling.
The Opportunity to Grow
At CWJ, advancement is based on what you demonstrate, not how long you have been here. Every tier comes with clear responsibilities, measurable advancement criteria, and a published pay band, so you always know exactly where you stand and what it takes to move up.

New drivers join a structured 90-day onboarding program that combines technical training, shadowing, and supervised route work. You will be paired with a senior driver, complete our Keg and BIB Technical Training, and progress from ride-alongs to running your own route.
