Lake Butler Hospital is a critical access hospital in North Florida providing 24-hour emergency services, inpatient hospitalization, swing bed program, rehabilitation services, outpatient laboratory, and outpatient radiology (X-ray, ultrasound, and CT Scan) services to Union County and the surrounding counties. We are devoted to providing all members of our community with premier-quality health care in a compassionate and inviting environment.
We are seeking an knowledgeable and experienced CNA to join our team as PRN!
Job Summary:
Certified Nursing Assistants perform various duties, such as assisting staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients in the medical/surgical unit and the ER in accordance with the established methods and procedures of the hospital.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Performs selected procedures and treatments according to hospital policy and procedures.
  2. Helps prepare unit, patient(s), and patient bed(s) for receiving patient admissions, returning surgical patients, transfers, or emergencies.
  3. Assists in and, as necessary, accompanies patient in the admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
  4. Provides morning care (oral care, bed bath, if necessary, assists with shower, changing of bed linens, dressing patient) and evening care (freshening bed linen, undressing patient) and other general care as necessary throughout the day.
  5. As directed, takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, 02 stat, weight, height, pain, intake/output measurements, blood sugars, and whirlpools.

Requirements
Education: CNA License
Experience: Minimum of 1 year medical/surgical experience.
Skills: BLS certification required prior to first date of employment. Basic computer skills required, with understanding of Electronic Medical Record charting (EMR).
