Overview

CTG is seeking an experienced iSeries Engineer (IBM i / AS400) for a role supporting enterprise Power Systems environments.

Location: Phoenix, AZ metro area (Hybrid working model)
Duration: 6 months with option to convert after 6 months
Citizenship: USC, PR, Other EAD holders (no visa dependent candidates)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer, support, and optimize IBM i (AS/400 / iSeries) and Power Systems environments
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity management
  • Execute OS upgrades, patching, and PTF maintenance
  • Support DB2 for i, RPG, CL, BRMS, and IBM MQ environments
  • Manage system security, user profiles, and compliance controls
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, OS, network, and application issues
  • Support backup, recovery, DR, and high availability solutions
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and network teams
  • Develop automation scripts and maintain operational runbooks
  • Participate in on-call and production support rotations
Required Skills:
  • IBM i / AS400 / iSeries administration (5+ years)
  • IBM Power Systems infrastructure support
  • DB2 for i, RPG, CL
  • IBM MQ and BRMS
